I coached rowing at Queensway Football Club from 1980 to 1988. Most of my players were between 9 and 16, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I bake for the whole street at New Year.
More about Maina
I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.
What gifts mean to Maina: Anything sent will buy equipment for the junior team.
