Mahmoud Omar Khalil
Master of blacksmithing, now teaching apprentices
- 🇸🇦 Mecca, Makkah, Saudi Arabia
- Little Mecca Shop
- Since 1981
- English, Arabic
My trade is blacksmithing. I opened my own shop in 1981 in Mecca and I'm still there most mornings.
The best compliment I ever got was a customer who called me back 11 years later for another job.
More about Mahmoud
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Mahmoud: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
