I teach English literature at Rajkot Grammar School in Rajkot since 2010. Most days I teach the final-year class, and I keep a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
Over the years I've had 290 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Madhavan
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
