I've been a nurse for 36 years, most of them in school nursing at San Diego Children's Hospital in San Diego. Night shifts taught me patience, and patients taught me everything else.
The thing I'm proudest of is that families usually remember my name. I'm learning the guitar.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
