I taught English literature at Kilimanjaro Girls' School in Los Angeles from 1983 to 2010. Most days I taught the final-year class, and I always had a bag of oranges in my drawer.
I coached the school's athletics team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
