I teach history at New York Public School in New York since 1981. Most days I teach teenagers, and I keep a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
My classroom was always a bit noisy, a bit untidy and usually full of people who came for the biscuits.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

What gifts mean to Mackenzie: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
