I coached cycling at Nakuru Football Club from 2009 to 2023. Most of my players were between 10 and 15, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I bake for the whole street at New Year.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

What gifts mean to Macharia: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
