Macharia Mukasa
15 years teaching music in Dar es Salaam
- 🇹🇿 Dar es Salaam, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
- Our Lady of Peace Middle School
- 2006 to 2024
- English, Swahili
I came to teaching late, after working as a mechanic, and 18 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
I ran the art club after school and some of my proudest moments happened there. I garden badly but happily.
More about Macharia
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

you taught me music in 2010 at Our Lady of Peace Middle School. I still remember the day the fire alarm went off during the exam Truly.
