Lungile Mabaso
Mentor in teaching and careers
- 🇿🇦 Stellenbosch, Western Cape, South Africa
- Phoenix Youth Network
- Since 1978
- English, Afrikaans
I started mentoring after a colleague did the same for me. Since then I've worked with 2,160 people through Phoenix Youth Network.
I write a short note to every student at the end of term.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Lungile
Some of my mentees now mentor others. That's how it's meant to work.
What gifts mean to Lungile: I'd put gifts toward travel for in-person sessions with students.
