Luis M. Gutiérrez
Master of blacksmithing, now teaching apprentices
- 🇪🇸 Madrid, Madrid, Spain
- The Madrid Trades Guild
- 2011 to 2024
- Spanish
I've worked in blacksmithing from 2011 to 2024. I learned from my grandmother and passed what I could on to 330 apprentices.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I take the work seriously, though not myself.
I'm still learning every day.

If I fixed something for you, I hope it's still holding.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Luis: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
