I taught biology at Mount Pleasant Middle School in San Diego from 1998 to 2012. Most days I taught the final-year class, and I answered every email, even at midnight.
I ran the art club after school and some of my proudest moments happened there. I fix old bicycles.
More about Luis
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
