I taught economics and statistics at Mount Pleasant Secondary School, Recife. I stayed late on Thursdays for anyone who needed it.
Over the years I had 700 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
More about Luís
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Luís: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
