For 25 years I ran the chess program at Brooklyn Kingsway Sports Club in Brooklyn. We trained 2 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

What gifts mean to Luis: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.

I still think about the day the fire alarm went off during the exam. Best summer of my life. Greetings from San Francisco.
