I taught special education at Oakland Technical College in Oakland from 1996 to 2012. Most days I taught the final-year class, and I never once raised my voice.
My classroom was always a bit noisy, a bit untidy and usually full of people who came for the biscuits.
I'm still learning every day.

What gifts mean to Luis: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
