Helping people break into first-generation students
- 🇹🇿 Zanzibar City, Zanzibar Urban/West, Tanzania
- Zanzibar City Association
- 1989 to 2013
- English, Swahili
I started mentoring after a colleague did the same for me. Since then I've worked with 650 people through Zanzibar City Association.
Most of my mentees are early in their careers. A few are in their fifties and starting over, and they're some of my favorites.
I'm still learning every day.
More about Lucy
Some of my mentees now mentor others. That's how it's meant to work.
