I coached table tennis at San Jose Hillcrest Boxing Gym from 1984 to 2017. Most of my players were between 11 and 16, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
My best seasons were the ones we lost most games and still showed up every Tuesday.

Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
