Lucy Nafula Wafula

Youth badminton coach and mentor

  • 🇹🇿 Dar es Salaam, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
  • Redwood Swimming Club
  • 1983 to 2002
  • English, Swahili, Spanish
For 19 years I ran the badminton program at Redwood Swimming Club in Dar es Salaam. We trained 4 evenings a week, whatever the weather. Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I walk the dog by the river.

More about Lucy

Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
