Lucy Dorcas Athumani
Painter, potter and teacher at Kampala Gallery
- 🇺🇬 Kampala, Central Region, Uganda
- Kampala Gallery
- Since 2016
- English, Swahili
I work mostly in woodcarving, sometimes calligraphy. My first show was in 2016 at Kampala Gallery, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog.
I also teach a weekly class at Kampala Gallery, which keeps me honest.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Lucy
If you've bought a piece of mine, thank you. It's on someone's wall and that still amazes me.
What gifts mean to Lucy: I'd put a gift toward a kiln repair. It's been a long time coming.
