Lucía H. García
19 years teaching history in Bakersfield
- 🇺🇸 Bakersfield, California, United States
- Since 1995
- English
I teach history at Bakersfield Middle School in Bakersfield since 1995. Most days I teach mixed-ability classes, and I keep a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
I've coached the school's cross-country squad for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Lucía
Teaching changed me more than I changed anyone, I think.
