I've been a nurse for 16 years, most of them in rehabilitation at Kilimanjaro University Hospital in Rome. Night shifts taught me patience, and patients taught me everything else.
The thing I'm proudest of is that families usually remember my name. I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
