I've coached cycling at Manchester Youth Club since 1984. Most of my players were between 12 and 16, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I'm always reading two books at once.
More about Lucas
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
What gifts mean to Lucas: Anything sent will buy equipment for the junior team.
