Lucas Clément Dumas
Master of thatching, now teaching apprentices
- 🇫🇷 Nice, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, France
- The Nice Shop
- 1995 to 2007
- French
I've worked in thatching from 1995 to 2007. I learned from my uncle and passed what I could on to 580 apprentices.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I carry a notebook everywhere.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
More about Lucas
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.

What gifts mean to Lucas: A gift would go toward tools for apprentices who can't afford their own.
