I've been a nurse for twelve years, most of them in emergency care at Queensway Maternity Hospital in Los Angeles. Night shifts taught me patience, and patients taught me everything else.
The thing I'm proudest of is that families usually remember my name. I walk the dog by the river.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
