I teach social studies and geography at Westbrook Grammar School, Oakland. I never turn anyone away.
Over the years I've had 1,820 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
More about Lourdes
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the farm, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.
