I taught English literature at Hillcrest Technical College in San Antonio from 1999 to 2024. Most days I taught the final-year class, and I stayed late on Thursdays for anyone who needed it.
My classroom was always a bit noisy, a bit untidy and usually full of people who came for the biscuits.
More about Lorena
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
