I coached swimming at São Paulo Athletic Club from 1978 to 2012. Most of my players were between 8 and 17, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. My door was open at lunch.
I'm still learning every day.
More about Lorena
I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.
What gifts mean to Lorena: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
