Lorena M. Nava
Master of thatching, now teaching apprentices
- 🇲🇽 Iztapalapa, Ciudad de México, Mexico
- Iztapalapa Works
- 1981 to 2015
- Spanish
I'm a thatching specialist. If you live around Iztapalapa, there's a good chance I've worked in a building near you.
I can still tell good work from rushed work from across the street. I run most mornings.
I'm still learning every day.
More about Lorena
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
What gifts mean to Lorena: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
