Lorena E. Ruiz

Helping people break into first-generation students

  • 🇺🇸 Riverside, California, United States
  • Riverside Youth Network
  • 2002 to 2014
  • English, Spanish
I started mentoring after a colleague did the same for me. Since then I've worked with 700 people through Riverside Youth Network. I don't give advice so much as ask questions until the answer shows up. I make terrible puns.

What gifts mean to Lorena: I'd put gifts toward travel for in-person sessions with students.
