I teach music and home economics at Mount Pleasant Public School, Shreveport. I answer every email, even at midnight.
Over the years I've had 2,130 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
I'm still learning every day.
More about Long
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
