Lola Chioma Okoro

Youth cycling coach and mentor

  • 🇳🇬 Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria
  • Ikeja Jacaranda Community Club
  • 1984 to 2016
  • English, Yoruba
For 32 years I ran the cycling program at Ikeja Jacaranda Community Club in Ikeja. We trained 3 evenings a week, whatever the weather. Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I learned every name in the first week.

More about Lola

Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
