Lokesh Gounder
Master of pottery, now teaching apprentices
- 🇮🇳 Bengaluru, Karnataka, India
- Crescent Works
- Since 1978
- English, Kannada
I've worked in pottery since 1978. I learned from my grandfather and passed what I could on to 1,150 apprentices.
I can still tell good work from rushed work from across the street. I'm learning the guitar.
If you remember me, I'd love to hear from you.

Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Lokesh: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
