Liton Shafiq Islam
Master of baking, now teaching apprentices
- 🇧🇩 Dhaka, Dhaka, Bangladesh
- Gateway Trades Guild
- Since 1983
- English, Bengali
I've worked in baking since 1983. I learned from my mother and passed what I could on to 2,320 apprentices.
I can still tell good work from rushed work from across the street. I'm always reading two books at once.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Liton: A gift would go toward tools for apprentices who can't afford their own.
