I coached football at Los Angeles Summit Football Club from 1998 to 2023. Most of my players were between 10 and 18, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I always had a bag of oranges in my drawer.
More about Lina
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
What gifts mean to Lina: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
