I taught music at Sacramento Girls' School in Sacramento from 1981 to 1992. Most days I taught the youngest children, and I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
Over the years I had 360 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
