I teach English literature at Thika Academy in Thika since 1983. Most days I teach Year 10, and I never raise my voice.
Over the years I've had 1,290 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Lilian
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
