For 15 years I ran the chess program at Eastgate Boxing Gym in Lagos. We trained 2 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
My best seasons were the ones we lost most games and still showed up every Tuesday.
More about Lilian
If you played for me, you probably remember the cold winter when we all kept our coats on.
What gifts mean to Lilian: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
