I've spent 21 years as a lecturer in sociology at The Hague Institute of Technology in The Hague. I loved the lecture hall and loved office hours even more.
Former students now work as a mechanic and in a dozen other fields. It's the best part of this job.
More about Lieke
I retired from full-time teaching but still mentor a few students a year.
What gifts mean to Lieke: Gifts will go to a small travel fund for students presenting their first paper.
