I've coached athletics at Parkside Football Club since 2003. Most of my players were between 9 and 14, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I write a short note to every student at the end of term.
I'm still learning every day.
