Lia Fitria Suharto
35 years teaching special education in Depok
- 🇮🇩 Depok, West Java, Indonesia
- Gateway Public School
- Since 1983
- English, Indonesian
I came to teaching late, after working as a mechanic, and 43 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
I've coached the school's athletics team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

What gifts mean to Lia: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
