For 17 years I have been the geography teacher at İzmir Secondary School. I teach Grade 6 and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
I've coached the school's cross-country squad for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Leyla
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the mountains, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.
