Lerato Van Wyk
Volunteer mentor with Kilimanjaro Foundation
- 🇿🇦 Stellenbosch, Western Cape, South Africa
- Kilimanjaro Foundation
- 1986 to 2017
- English, Afrikaans
I started mentoring after a colleague did the same for me. Since then I've worked with 1,550 people through Kilimanjaro Foundation.
I never turned anyone away.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Lerato
Some of my mentees now mentor others. That's how it's meant to work.
Areas of mentoring
What gifts mean to Lerato: I'd put gifts toward travel for in-person sessions with students.
