I came to teaching late, after working as a bank clerk, and nine years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Outside the classroom I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays. Inside it, I write a short note to every student at the end of term.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

What gifts mean to Lerato: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
