Lerato Du Plessis
Helping people break into first-generation students
- 🇿🇦 Soweto, Gauteng, South Africa
- Soweto Mentoring Circle
- Since 2017
- English, Zulu, Spanish
I started mentoring after a colleague did the same for me. Since then I've worked with 170 people through Soweto Mentoring Circle.
Most of my mentees are early in their careers. A few are in their fifties and starting over, and they're some of my favorites.
