Lerato B. Nkosi
29 years teaching home economics in Soweto
- 🇿🇦 Soweto, Gauteng, South Africa
- Pioneer Middle School
- 2005 to 2021
- English, Afrikaans, Spanish
I taught home economics at Pioneer Middle School in Soweto from 2005 to 2021. Most days I taught Grade 6, and I learned every name in the first week.
My classroom was always a bit noisy, a bit untidy and usually full of people who came for the biscuits.

If you were in my Grade 6 class, you probably remember the surprise birthday cake.

What gifts mean to Lerato: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
