Leonardo B. Murray
Chess and fitness coach, Sheffield
- 🇬🇧 Sheffield, England, United Kingdom
- Sheffield Community Club
- 1978 to 2006
- English, Spanish
For 28 years I ran the chess program at Sheffield Community Club in Sheffield. We trained 4 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I wrote a short note to every student at the end of term.
I'm still learning every day.
More about Leonardo
I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.
What gifts mean to Leonardo: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
