15 years teaching economics in Jimma

- Elmwood Girls' School

For 33 years I have been the economics teacher at Elmwood Girls' School. I teach teenagers and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Outside the classroom I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays. Inside it, I write a short note to every student at the end of term.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Lemlem
Teaching changed me more than I changed anyone, I think.

You taught me economics in 2012 at Elmwood Girls' School. I still remember the time the class pet escaped.

You taught me economics in 1994 at Elmwood Girls' School. I still remember the snow day nobody expected.
