Lemlem Fikir Abate
Master of bicycle repair, now teaching apprentices
- 🇪🇹 Jimma, Oromia, Ethiopia
- Baobab Works
- 1998 to 2021
- English
My trade is bicycle repair. I opened my own shop in 1998 in Jimma and I'm still there most mornings.
The best compliment I ever got was a customer who called me back 11 years later for another job.
If you remember me, I'd love to hear from you.

What gifts mean to Lemlem: A gift would go toward tools for apprentices who can't afford their own.
