Leighton Richards
Oud player and teacher in Mandeville
- 🇯🇲 Mandeville, Manchester, Jamaica
- Mandeville Quartet
- Since 1993
- English
I play oud and jazz. I started in 1993 with a secondhand instrument and a lot of stubbornness.
I teach about 15 students a week. Some of them are better than me now, which is the whole point. I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Leighton
I write my first song when I was 21. It was terrible and I still love it.

What gifts mean to Leighton: I'd put a gift toward recording a small album.

You played at our wedding in 1999 and it was perfect. Greetings from Iloilo City.
