I coached chess at Willow Creek Boxing Gym from 2015 to 2023. Most of my players were between 8 and 16, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I played music while people worked.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Leandro
I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.
What gifts mean to Leandro: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
