Leah Efrat Shapiro

Social studies teacher at Tel Aviv Middle School, Since 2009

  • Tel Aviv Middle School

  • English
For 17 years I have been the social studies teacher at Tel Aviv Middle School. I teach mixed-ability classes and a few brave older students who wanted extra help. I've run the science fair after school and some of my proudest moments happened there. I garden badly but happily.

More about Leah

The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Leah: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
